Play the Hand You're Dealt

The old tales tell of a door inside the mountains. A door that only opens for the ones it has called.

Many have tried to resist the calling. All who have done so have gone mad.

Few have returned. And even fewer will tell what horrible things they've seen when they come back.

You can feel it. Calling. A familiar feeling, though never felt before. You must go to the caves. Go to find answers.

Play the Hand You're dealt is a deck builder, where your cards interact with the Wheel of Sigils. Play your cards and combine them with the right sigils to unleash powerful combos!

Instructions:

Every round, you will play all the cards in your hand. However, it is up to YOU to play them in an optimal order.

Every time you play a card the Wheel of Sigils will move forward 1 step. When a card is played, its basic stats will be added to its corresponding pools (Attack/Defense). The damage from the attack pool will be dealt at the end of each turn, and then reset. The shielding from the defense pool will stay active during your opponent's turn before resetting. This is because your opponent will deal damage to your shield pool before reaching your health. You have a maximum health of 20, and if it reaches zero, you lose. If a card has a sigil effect and you play it when the right sigil is active, you will activate that effect. If a card has an effect, but no sigils, that effect will be activated on any sigil.

For example, let's draw an example hand of 5 cards. 2 cards with effects, and 3 cards without:

When Push Comes to Shove:
    Push the sigil forward for each card in your hand.
Hammer
Nail
Hammer and Nail
Death's Doorstep:
    Add X damage, where X is the number of steps the sigil has moved this turn.

To play these cards in an optimal way, we would want to play the card When Push Comes to Shove first, to play it with as many cards in our hand as possible.
Then, we would play Hammer, Nail and Hammer and nail. This, is to get the most out of our last card Death's Doorstep since it will deal X damage, where X is the number of steps the sigil has moved this turn. After this, your turn is done and your opponent will play out his own turn, and so on until one of you reaches 0 health.
